Celebrating Women Everywhere

Yahweh/God gave women the mental critical thinking capacity to be more than barefoot pregnant in the kitchen cooking, cleaning and raising kids so why try to seal women in this box?…
SHOUT OUT!
Women’s month is every month and Rise of Dark Dawn would like to send a shout out to all of the women doing their thing in business, at work and in life. By divine creation women were built with a higher level of critical thinking that allows them to be a mother, a wife, an inventor, a business owner, a scientist, a teacher, a film producer/screenwriter, military leaders, a doctor, a lawyer, QUEENS of nations and so much more. Now, this means women are not less than but are abundantly more than. No matter how some men work to destroy what God has already put together, women will rise to remind all, ‘greater is he, that is already within me’.
To the many women who hold these roles in spades but still get up looking like ‘that was nothing but something to do’, here is a bow to you. Always remember to celebrate you when you are in a crowed room or in a room alone. Give yourself powerful affirmations, that create the fire of positive energy that surrounds you daily.
Tell yourself daily,
I AM BEAUTIFUL
I AM SEXY (no matter your size.)
I AM HIGHLY INTELLIGENT
I AM POWERFUL and POWER LIVES WITHIN ME
I AM CREATIVE
I AM LOVED AND I GIVE LOVE
I AM SUCCESSFUL
I LIVE IN ABUNDANCE
And so on. Whatever you think you lack, speak the opposite then stand on it. It was already placed in you so walk in your light.
Remember, Women Too Were Created in God’s Image
The strength and accomplishments of women have been hidden, suppressed, ignored, and devalued for hundreds of years. YET, women keep breaking barriers to flood the world with the light of their essence at every turn. Women are natural born leaders, planners, builders and creators that arrive on scene ready to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. Throughout history and today, women have always been part of a bigger plan to do greater things.
Genesis 1:26-27 – “Then God said, 26 ‘Let US make mankind in OUR image, in OUR likeness, so that THEY may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ 27 So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created THEM; male and female he created THEM” (the plurals ‘us and our’ won’t be unpacked today so please don’t fill my inbox).
People were created equal from the beginning but somehow this got lost or changed over time to place male and female onto a hierarchy scale, to mean one has to be less than and never equal too as this would disrupt some order. But what does equal really mean? To the masses, this could have a multitude of meanings or depending on whom are in power, the meaning could be set based on what those few deem as the correct definition… and therefore society must follow.
What separates us, is what creates us, and is what divides us…Bernice Jackson
World domination is not what women seek, but just to co-exist as equal human beings and treated with equal respect when they walk into any room. The physical attributes and gifts (strength and childbirth) granted each male and female are both needed to create, protect and nurture (the mechanical tools needed to keep the human race multiplying) but none supersedes the TRUE gift given to both, the hierarchy of learning, critical thinking and dominion…
You see, women can’t be placed in a box because their power is too great for a box to hold. This was determined from the beginning in the grand design of a woman. Let’s face it, do you really need a higher level of thinking to sweep a floor? Once this is truly understood, the true power that exist within a women will illuminate the world. When coupled correctly with the true power of a man, well the greatness that will unfold is unmeasurable. Wouldn’t that be equally yoked (oops story for another day)?
Celebrate Your Gift(s)
Proverbs 18:16, “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men”. (‘man & him’ are universal like ‘guys’ so please don’t inbox me).
What you were designed to be known for is your gift. If some ‘thing’ is placed inside of a woman, then it was put there for her to carry, to birth into existence and no veil should be placed over her nor should that birth be hidden behind a man’s name. This is the journey that was destined for her and does not infringe on someone else’s self-worth. For a long time, women were not allowed to put their name on a patent, go to school, own a home, vote, or have voice in her own life’s journey but now, they are 97% free (give or take) to live their best life on their terms.
Women have now created their own platforms to celebrate each other, reward each other, and inspire each other to reach for the stars openly and not just at the kitchen table and living room. Thank you Essence, Black Girl Magic, Black Girls Run, Girl Trek, Black Enterprise, Female Founder Collective, Black Women In Technology, BOSS Network, DWEN, Sisters City Project, Score and so many more that deserves to be on this list.
As Maya Angelo so beautifully wrote:
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
’Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
Weakened by my soulful cries?
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
’Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own backyard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise…
Women Are the Village/Community
Women supporting women has always been a natural occurrence. From sharing groceries when a family was in need, to opening the door when someone was homeless, to trading babysitting, to shit talking and giving encouragement at the same kitchen table, women will show up to show out for each other when the call is heard.
From groups to summits, to webinars to retreats… women continue to hold each other close. Especially during times of mass dismissal. Women continuously reach back to pull up another one and when one gets tired another woman is tagged in to pull up more. The resilience, perseverance, and fighting spirit shows explicitly that God did not make a mistake when making a woman’s mold.
Dance, sing and scream aloud, knowing you to were created to be more than a household tool. The gift, the idea, the business, the invention that has been graciously given, let it burst forth because room has already been set aside for that ‘thing’ to flourish; while still being a wife, a mom, a friend…because you can.
Keep RISE-ing out of the DARK into your new DAWN for this day was given to you, to do you.
